Guys, I just don’t know what to write about. Even the title of this post sucks. It’s a real problem. I mean, I’ve been busy. There are things happening. But when I sit down to write, nothing comes.

I’m really excited about these clogs I scored at Value Village a couple weeks ago though. They’ve been on my thrift list for a long time. Does anyone else do that? I have a few specific items that I would love to buy new but just can’t justify the cost. So I’m always keeping an eye out for them at the thrift store.

Anyways, I stopped in at Value Village on a whim, and it ended up being a 50% off day (bonus!) and it wasn’t even crazy busy (double bonus!). I was checking out the shoe section, but there was a re-stocking cart blocking part of the section. And then an employee came and wheeled it away and there they were. I snatched them up, like I was going to have fight someone for them or something. When realistically, they had probably been there for a while, but no one else actually really wanted wooden clogs. Here I am, walking around, clutching my new found treasures to myself, glaring at everyone. And they’re all like, settle down. We don’t want your crap.

That’s all I got. I scored some never worn vintage clogs and they were over priced, but I got 50% off, so I wasn’t too annoyed with Value Village. Sorry for being so lame. I have a lot of thoughts, but nothing that’s ready to be written down yet I guess. Hope you all have a great weekend. We’ll be helping some family move. Which is alright, because it’s nice to have family to depend on and to lend a hand (but you can be sure we’re keeping track of all the nice things we do for them so we can cash in hard later. Can you say selfless?)

But for now, I’m off to drink wine with some friends and talk about books.

(for anyone that’s still interested, we’re doing All My Puny Sorrows this month for book club. Holler at me if you wanna get the details!)

  • Found your post through Yen’s Instagram feed and I am glad I did! This girl cannot count the number of clogs I have on one hand, and some of my fav’s are that perfectly worn in wooden/leather vintage finds. I only wish I lived somewhere I could wear them year round! Sweet little post, thank you!

    • Ah, thank you so much! Welcome! Trust me, clogs were not weather appropriate this time around, but totally worth it.
