It’s been just over 2 weeks since we got to Thunder Bay. My time so far has been a little unusual, since its mostly just been running errands and demoing our kitchen. I haven’t had much time to explore new stuff. I mean, we’ve done some sight seeing before when we visited, but it was different then because it wasn’t our home. For now though, I need to get as much grunt work done in the house as possible because my brother is coming up at the end of the week, so I need to have it all ready for him to do the skilled work, like electrical and plumbing. Luckily, I’ve got lots of podcasts queued up still to get me through it. (although, if you have any recommendations, I’m always up for some new ones!)
Dan and I did get a chance to go out for dinner the other night though. Thunder Bay has a pretty decent food scene, so it’s fun to be able to check out some new restaurants. Also, fun to put on make up and not be wearing work clothes for a minute. We have some more family coming up to visit on Labour Day weekend though, so I’m sure we will be doing lots of sight seeing and eating out when they get here. Until then, it’s work clothes and getting shit done, which is alright with me.
