Dan and I were in Hamilton for a quick weekend at the end of October so that we could attend the wedding of some sweet friends. It was honestly such a fun night. It was super intimate, so many fresh, beautiful flowers and decor, every detail just felt so thought out and perfect. We ate donuts, we danced the night away and it was just really, really nice.

Of course, since we were only in Hamilton for less than 48 hours, you better believe it was busy. We managed to go out for drinks, see both of our families, get coffee with friends, go to the wedding and I even got my hair cut. Because of the tight schedule though, I never got to take pictures of my wedding outfit, which was a shame because this dress is a dream! I found it at Jewels of Crown, a local vintage dealer here in Thunder Bay. (Guys, doesn’t matter where I go, I’ll always be looking for that good good vintage.) I have to say, while I do love sixties style a lot, I don’t generally go all in on with my every day wardrobe, but if I’m getting dressed up, there is something about that sixties shift/A-line mini that I cannot resist. This dress could have actually been taken in a bit for an ideal fit, but because of the boxy shape and the fact that it was hemmed above the knee, it still worked even though it was oversized. Always a good reminder, never go by tagged sizes and always try things on because this was marked as an XL, but it definitely worked for me.

Anyways, I ended up recreating the outfit a few weeks ago so I could get some photos because it was my favourite. And it gave me and excuse to look back at some photos of the wedding. I didn’t get a ton, but here’s one of a few of us ladies. Isn’t Michelle a babe? I mean, come on.
