Happy New Year!
I know it’s a couple weeks in already, but sometimes I think you need to give yourself a little extra time before you really jump into it. I mean, I have lots of plans and goals that I’m excited to work towards this year, but let’s be honest, none of them were happening on January 1st.
But I’m here now and ready to jump back in. Dan went back to school on Monday, I’m back to regular day time hours at my job this week (I was working night shift for 3 months for the holiday season), so I guess there’s no more avoiding it. We got a lot done on the kitchen over the holidays and right now I’m actually painting!!!! (well, not right this second. But you know what I mean.) It definitely felt like we were never going to get to this point, so it’s pretty exciting to be here. Our plan is to install the flooring in the kitchen this weekend before Dan gets way too busy with school and then it’s time for cabinet assembly. I’ll be posting day to day follow along stuff on my instagram stories, so check those out if you want to stay super current on what’s happening.
And for now, I’ve got another found collection with more (mostly) vintage (all second hand) treasures that I’ve been collecting for our home since coming to Thunder Bay, as promised.
Rattan Plant Stand
$2.50- Re-Use Store
Brass Record Player Stand
$7- Value Village
Hammered Brass Bowl
$5- Value Village
(and yes, those pumpkins are still there from Thanksgiving)
$18- Value Village
I’ve been working on a post for next week that talks about why we bought in Thunder Bay instead of renting, how we were able to swing that and what our budget is. Time to get into the nitty gritty details! But until then, thanks for enjoying the pretty stuff with me too. You can’t have one part without the other.
