I’ve been a little MIA here lately, life has been nutty and things catch up with you sometimes. But, weirdly enough, something as simple as writing a blog post can give you back a little bit of normalcy. And the assurance that life does, in fact, carry on, no matter if I wasn’t able to do any dishes or get groceries this week, at least I’m able to hold on to these little things here and there and say hey, at least I got that done. And when I find myself stretched, there’s always someone to pick up the slack. So thanks to friends who stop by for coffee and are willing to take a couple pictures of me in the back alley (It’s only as creepy as you make it, ok?) and thanks to friends who are willing to drop everything and lend a hand and an ear when you need it. And thanks for Dan, because today’s our 4th anniversary and no matter what, he’s always got my back, even if it’s just to go to Shopper’s Drug Mart on a Friday night because I feel like having some ice cream. (Seriously though. That happens a lot more than it should.) So even though things don’t always turn out the way you anticipated or expected them to, I think we can always find that we are surrounded by things to be thankful for. So, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend filled with beauty, because it’s usually there, if we are willing to look for it.
